Home-Ed - 6 Week Course - The 7 Elements of Art - Age 11-14

£130.00

Price includes 6 x 1.5-hour sessions. All materials provided.

Location: Easthampstead Works - Bracknell
Start Date: Monday, 6th January 2025

Course Overview:

This 6-week course introduces young artists to the seven core elements of art: Line, Value, Colour, Shape, Form, Space, and Texture. These fundamental building blocks are essential for creating any artwork.

Each week, we’ll focus on a different element, exploring how other artists use these elements in their work and learning how to apply and combine them to develop personal, creative pieces.

Best of all, your child will have the unique opportunity to learn inside a real working artist’s studio — a space filled with inspiration, creativity, and the tools of a professional artist.

Who This Class is For:

These sessions are designed for 11-14 year olds who are eager to enhance their artistic skills. This class is ideal for children who:

  • Have a strong interest in art and enjoy drawing, painting, or other creative activities.

  • Are ready to challenge themselves and grow artistically.

  • Would enjoy learning in the immersive environment of a real artist's studio.

Class Environment and Expectations:

To create a focused and supportive environment where all students can thrive, I kindly ask that participants:

  • Engage fully in the class, listen to guidance, and respect their peers.

  • Show a willingness to focus and refine their art skills.

Please note:

  • Drop-off only: Due to space limitations and the nature of the sessions, parents will not be able to stay during the class.

  • Age requirement: This class is for ages 11-14 only.

  • Engagement: Please ensure your child can participate for the full 90 minutes.

  • Behavior policy: If a student disrupts the class for two sessions in a way that affects others’ learning, I reserve the right to withdraw them without a refund.

I aim to provide an environment where all children can get the most out of these classes.

Additional Information:

  • SEN Support: If your child needs additional support (including for SEN), please let me know in advance so I can best support your child.

  • Refund Policy: Due to course structure and costs, missed sessions are non-refundable.
