Summary of Part 1
Oil and Drawing section? Completed it mate
This week I just wanted to summarise with all of the pieces I created throughout the Oil and Drawing section of the Mastery Program.
You know what this means?
I am almost caught up with catching you up on my journey to mastery.
I have a few more weeks to share with you and then I’ll be sharing my weekly journal with you in real-time, as I continue through the program now…
Right as the magic happens ✨
Up until now, I have been refining my drawing skills, learning how to use oil paint, and fighting my inner critic every step of the way.
Next, I will be starting the mixed media section, experimenting with materials I have never used before, and finding my unique voice and process 🧡
So with that said, let’s remind ourselves of the creations from part one…
Week 1 - My first ever oil painting! Subractive glaze, traditional oil painting
16x20 - original oil painting on canvas
“With its vibrant plumage and that distinctive, crooked beak, the flamingo reminds us that beauty lies in the unconventional. In a world of ordinary, dare to be extraordinary. Embrace your quirks, your oddities, and your individuality.”
Week 2 - Value, scale and indirect painting
16x20 - original oil painting on canvas
“As the sun kisses the horizon, it ignites a fervent fire within, casting silhouettes long and proud. We too, can bloom brilliantly in the face of adversity.”

16x20 - original oil painting on canvas
“Tenacious and strong, you have the power to overcome whatever challenge you are facing. You have a fierce spirit and a treasure chest of skills at your disposal. Flexible, strong and quick on your feet - this is how you seize every opportunity that comes your way. You know who you are and where you come from, you are extraordinary in your own unique form. You are a warrior. A rare beauty.”
Week 7 - Perspective and cityscapes, and my first oil painting sale!
